Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Afterloop website and services. By joining the waitlist, creating an account, or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
Afterloop helps creators edit short-form video, publish to connected social platforms, analyze the performance of their own content alongside publicly available niche trends, and iterate. The service is in early access: features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued while we build.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (and at least 13), and meet the minimum age of any platform you connect.
- You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to it secure.
- You may only connect social accounts you own or are authorized to manage.
3. Authorization to act on your behalf
When you connect a platform account, you authorize Afterloop to use that platform’s official APIs to read your content’s analytics and, where you direct it, upload or publish content on your behalf. You can revoke this at any time by disconnecting the account in Afterloop or in the platform’s own security settings. We never ask for your platform password.
4. Your content
- You own your content. Footage, audio, captions, and published posts remain yours.
- You grant us a limited, revocable license to host, process, edit, and transmit your content solely to operate the service at your direction.
- You are responsible for your content’s rights — including music licensing, likeness permissions, and anything else required to publish it commercially. Do not upload content you lack rights to use.
5. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content.
- No use of Afterloop to violate a platform’s terms (fake engagement, spam, scraping with your own credentials, etc.).
- No probing, disrupting, or reverse-engineering the service.
6. Third-party platforms
Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms are independent services with their own terms, which you must follow. Platforms change their APIs and policies; features that depend on them may change or stop working, and we are not responsible for platform decisions such as content removal or account restrictions.
7. AI-generated output
Edits, briefs, trend analyses, and recommendations are generated in part by AI and are suggestions, not guarantees. Review content before publishing. We do not promise any particular reach, growth, or revenue outcome.
8. Fees
Early access is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you the price first and you can stop using the service before being charged.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Afterloop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or lost profits, data, or goodwill; our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Termination
You can stop using Afterloop and disconnect your accounts at any time. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or creates risk for the service or other users. Sections 4, 9, and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of California.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; we will post updates here with a new effective date and flag material changes on the site or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
